Tree Lighting Ceremony
Come and take part in the 76rd Annual Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting
Ceremony. The 2007 Tree Lighting Ceremony will be a star-studded event broadcast live on NBC. Hundreds of thousands of people
visit the most famous tree in the world yearly to celebrate the holidays at Rockefeller Center.
The
Ice Rink at Rockefeller Center The
ice-skating rink at Rockefeller Center attracts over a
quarter million people each year. This ice skating rink
is open from October to April. The skating surface
is 122 feet long and 59 feet wide and can accommodate only
150 skaters at one time.
The
Christmas Tree at EAB Plaza
This is Long Island's very own
Rockefeller Center, located at the EAB Plaza in Uniondale,
across from the Nassau Coliseum. This is a welcoming,
seasonal rink that is amazing to see when the tree
is on display. This year's tree is an 80-foot fir
illuminated with 40,000 lights. Before or after your
skate, you can tour the lobby of the plaza, which has
seasonal displays and Santa before Christmas. Department
Store Windows Thousands
of people come and visit New York City every year to see
the beautifully designed department store windows. These
windows are transformed into miniature holiday worlds.
